Message from Executive Director:
Friends,
If you know me, you know I love to hike. There’s something about being out on the trail—the views, the sounds, the feeling of fresh air filling your lungs—that just resets the mind. I’ve been lucky enough to get surprisingly close to some incredible wildlife over the years—foxes, bobcats, moose, elk, deer, eagles, turkey vultures, hawks, and probably a thousand different birds I still can’t name. I have been lucky enough hike along the Great Wall, parts of the Appalachian Trail, the beaches of Normandy and more than a dozen national parks. But as great as the views and wildlife are, the best part is always sharing the trail with friends.
That’s why I’m especially excited about our new hiking excursions with Coach Natali. We’re refreshing the program a bit this season to make it even more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. We’ll be hiking every other week, with one of our hikes each month designed to be wheelchair accessible—because nature should be open to Every Ability. EveryBODY.
We’ll kick things off with our first hike at Demuth Park on Saturday, October 25th. I hope you’ll sign up, come out, and experience the beauty of the outdoors with us. These hikes aren’t just for our adaptive and special needs athletes—they’re for everyone who believes in the power of community, connection, and shared experience.
Our second hike will be a bit more technical, but still beginner-friendly. We’ll rotate locations from time to time to keep things fresh and give everyone new trails—and new views—to enjoy. Whether you’re an experienced hiker or just starting out, there’s a place for you on the trail with SoCal Adaptive Sports.
Onward,
Chris Allen

Mensaje del Director Ejecutivo:
Amigos,
¡Adelante!
Chris Allen
