Message from Executive Director:

Friends,

As we approach Thanksgiving—my favorite holiday—I’m reminded of how much gratitude fills our days at SoCal Adaptive Sports. This is always a special time of year for me, and even more so now as I look forward to my son coming home from college and getting to spend quality time with my family. Every smile on the court, every strike on the lanes, every breakthrough on the trail… these moments are only possible because of the community we’ve built together.

We don’t ask for support often, but when we do, it’s because it truly matters. While we work hard to ensure our programs remain free or offered at minimal cost to our athletes and families, they require real resources to operate: staffing, equipment, coaching, transportation, and facility rentals. As you make your charitable giving decisions this Thanksgiving season, on Giving Tuesday, and throughout the end of the year, we hope we can count on your support. Your generosity directly fuels inclusion, independence, and opportunity.

There’s also so much to look forward to! Our hiking program has officially begun again (see the attached flyer), and we’re gearing up for the 1st Annual IncrediBOWL on January 31st—an adaptive and special needs bowling tournament that’s already generating great excitement. And as we head into the new year, tennis and pickleball return (with news on golf coming soon), and sign-ups are already open. You’ll find more details throughout this newsletter.

We’re heading into the end of the year with incredible momentum, and I’m grateful to each of you for being a vital part of this community. Thank you for helping us ensure that every ability has the chance to play, grow, and belong.

Onward,
Chris Allen
Executive Director

Mensaje del Director Ejecutivo:

Amigos,

Adelante,

Chris Allen
