As the calendar turns and we move from the joy of Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa into the promise of a New Year, I find myself reflecting on what this season truly represents—gratitude, generosity, and hope. Christmas especially reminds us of the power of giving, while the New Year invites us to look ahead with optimism and purpose. 

This time of year is especially meaningful because it’s made brighter by you—our athletes, families, volunteers, donors, and community partners. Your support allows us to create spaces where people of all abilities can play, compete, connect, and belong. Simply put, you make inclusion possible.

As we kick off the New Year, we’re incredibly excited for one of our signature events: the 1st Annual IncrediBOWL Adaptive & Special Needs Bowling Tournament. IncrediBOWL is more than a bowling event—it’s a celebration of ability, confidence, and community. We expect dozens of athletes and families to come together for a day filled with high-fives, strikes, smiles, and unforgettable moments.

There are many ways to be part of IncrediBOWL:

• Register to bowl with us and cheer on some amazing athletes
• Sponsor the event to showcase your business while supporting inclusive sports
• Volunteer on event day—we need friendly faces to help with check-in, lane support, awards, and encouragement

If you’ve ever wondered how you can make a tangible impact in just a few hours, volunteering at IncrediBOWL is a great place to start.

Finally, as you finalize your year-end giving, I’ll ask that you consider SoCal Adaptive Sports as part of your charitable plans. A medida que el calendario avanza y pasamos de la alegría de la Navidad, Janucá y Kwanzaa a la promesa de un Año Nuevo, me encuentro reflexionando sobre lo que esta temporada realmente representa: gratitud, generosidad y esperanza. La Navidad, en particular, nos recuerda el poder de dar, mientras que el Año Nuevo nos invita a mirar hacia adelante con optimismo y propósito.

Esta época del año es especialmente significativa porque se vuelve más brillante gracias a ustedes: nuestros atletas, familias, voluntarios, donantes y aliados comunitarios. Su apoyo nos permite crear espacios donde personas de todas las habilidades pueden jugar, competir, conectar y sentirse parte. En pocas palabras, ustedes hacen posible la inclusión.

Al comenzar el Año Nuevo, estamos increíblemente entusiasmados por uno de nuestros eventos emblemáticos: el 1.er Torneo Anual IncrediBOWL de Boliche Adaptado y para Necesidades Especiales. IncrediBOWL es mucho más que un evento de boliche: es una celebración de la habilidad, la confianza y la comunidad. Esperamos que decenas de atletas y familias se reúnan para disfrutar de un día lleno de choques de manos, strikes, sonrisas y momentos inolvidables.

Hay muchas maneras de ser parte de IncrediBOWL:

We’re excited to announce that we will be hosting the Western Regional Boccia Tournament in April 2026! This is a huge milestone for this Paralympic sport, and we’re honored to help grow the boccia community. This beginner-friendly tournament is designed for athletes of all abilities, including individuals with developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities. Our goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where participants can make new friends, discover the power of boccia, build confidence, and gain valuable experience for future tournaments.

We’re looking for passionate volunteers to help bring the Western Regional Boccia Tournament to life. Join us April 10–12, 2026 and be part of an inclusive, inspiring event that celebrates athletes of all abilities. We offer various shifts and welcome volunteers ages 15+ to help as line judges, timers, and general support. Sign up, get involved, and help us create an unforgettable experience. As we close out the year, we want to thank this incredible group for their commitment, passion, and dedication to adaptive archery. We are extremely proud of everyone’s progress and growth throughout the year. Watching our friends develop their skills month after month has been a true gift, and we can’t wait to see what the new year has in store for us.

 Adaptive Bowling at Fantasy Springs Every Wednesday

This December was extra special as Santa Claus joined our friends for adaptive bowling in Indio, CA! The energy was off the charts, and the joy in the lanes was pure holiday magic. When you mix bowling, community, and a little holiday spirit, anything is possible. Thank you, friends, for an incredible month and we can’t wait to see you all in the New Year!

Adaptive Allstars in Riverside 

Riverside has truly been showing out this December, and it’s been amazing to experience! We’ve had so much fun with our Adaptive All-Stars—using sports wheelchairs, trying a parachute exercise, creating art, and even decorating cookies. What more could you ask for? This December is definitely one for the books!

Coach

As an adaptive sports coach, you'll leverage your passion for sports and strong communication skills to create an inclusive environment for athletes with varying abilities. You'll develop tailored training programs, facilitate engaging activities, and foster teamwork and confidence among participants, ensuring everyone feels valued and empowered. Your role will involve actively promoting inclusivity, adapting strategies to meet individual needs, and encouraging personal growth. Your love for sports and ability to connect with others will be essential in making a positive impact in the lives of the athletes you will coach.

Como entrenador de deportes adaptados, aprovecharás tu pasión por el deporte y tus sólidas habilidades de comunicación para crear un entorno inclusivo para atletas con diversas habilidades. Desarrollarás programas de entrenamiento personalizados, facilitarás actividades dinámicas y fomentarás el trabajo en equipo y la confianza entre los participantes, asegurando que todos se sientan valorados y empoderados. Tu función implicará promover activamente la inclusión, adaptar estrategias para satisfacer las necesidades individuales y alentar el crecimiento personal.
