Message from Executive Director:
Friends,
On Friday night, I found myself glued to the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympic Games. The Italians set the bar very high—especially for Los Angeles, which will soon have the world’s eyes on it. What struck me most was the powerful tribute to previous Winter Games, a reminder that the Olympic movement isn’t just about what’s next, but about honoring the journey that brought us here.
That Olympic spirit feels especially strong right now at SoCal Adaptive Sports. In just two short months, we’ll host the USA Boccia Western Regional Tournament in Burbank—and the excitement is building fast.
What makes this tournament truly special is its inclusivity. Yes, it will feature Paralympic-level competition, with elite para-athletes competing for gold. But as a Level 2 event, it’s also open to athletes of all abilities. That means you, me, your grandmother, and your next-door neighbor can step onto the court, feel the intensity, and experience the thrill of this incredible Paralympic sport alongside world-class competitors.
If you’ve ever been curious about Boccia—or wondered what it feels like to compete on a Paralympic pathway—this is your moment.
If you’re interested in playing, or if you’d like to sponsor the tournament and help make this event possible, I invite you to register today. You’ll find all the details in the flyers below.
And if Boccia competition isn’t quite your speed, don’t worry—we have many other adaptive sports and recreation opportunities waiting for you. You can also sharpen your skills and get involved at our weekly Boccia programs in Burbank and Riverside, which are open, welcoming, and a great way to jump in.
The Olympic flame is burning bright—and here at SoCal Adaptive Sports, it’s lighting the way for everyBODY.
Onward, Chris Allen Director Ejecutivo SoCal Adaptive Sports
Amigos,
Chris Allen Director Ejecutivo SoCal Adaptive Sports
